According to this article McDonald’s is learning the lesson the hard way. It seems that The Consumerist broke a story last week that McDonalds was promoting a contest using fake blogs ostensibly written by two “real” customers. Today the universe was notified of this development via IAB Smartbrief.

Ouchy.
